Delivery Information

Orders are packed at our Midrand base and sent out across South Africa for commercial kitchen spare parts and fittings. This page explains how delivery works, what to expect after checkout, and how to get help if a part is urgent.

Delivery Information

How orders leave our Midrand depot

Every online order is checked before it is packed, because an element, thermostat or gasket that looks right can still be the wrong match for your oven, fryer or dishwasher. Our team in Midrand pulls the stock, confirms the item details, and packs the parcel for dispatch once payment has cleared or the order has been approved for account customers.

We work from a national online stock pool, with goods leaving Midrand for delivery into Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Bloemfontein and surrounding areas. Smaller parts are packed to protect terminals, seals and fragile fittings, while heavier items are boxed for road transport. On busy days we may split an order if one item is ready and another is still being confirmed, so you get moving sooner rather than waiting for the full order.

Dispatch times and cut-off details

Most parcels paid for before the daily cut-off are dispatched on the same business day or the next business day, depending on stock, courier collection times and the time your order was placed. Orders placed late on a Friday, or during public holidays, usually go out on the next working day. If we need to check compatibility first, that can add a short delay, but it is better than sending the wrong part and costing you a second call-out.

  • Allow extra time when ordering during load shedding or during courier backlogs after month-end.
  • Remote farms, holiday towns and outlying industrial areas may take longer than city centres.
  • Urgent replacement parts can be flagged with our team by email at parts@foodservparts.co.za.

Once the parcel leaves our depot, the delivery time depends on the courier route and your location. Main centres are usually faster than coastal or rural addresses, and wet weather can slow a few routes down by a day or so.

Packing standards for kitchen spare parts

Commercial kitchen parts need sensible packing, not fancy packing. We use the right carton size, protect open ends and moving points, and separate items that could scratch or damage each other in transit. Heating elements are secured so terminals do not bend, thermostats are kept clear of pressure, and gaskets are packed flat where possible so they do not warp before fitting.

For coastal deliveries, especially into Durban, Gqeberha or other humid areas, we take care to reduce moisture exposure while the parcel is in transit. That matters for metal parts, switches and control components that must arrive clean and ready for fitting. If a part needs special handling, such as a fragile probe or a set of switch contacts, we make a note on the parcel before it leaves.

  • Protection for terminals, probes and switch gear
  • Sealed packing where humidity is a factor
  • Clear labels for part numbers and order references

Tracking, courier handover and proof of dispatch

As soon as the parcel is handed to the courier, the dispatch details are sent through to the customer. That gives you a way to follow the shipment and plan fitting around your kitchen schedule. If your workshop, restaurant or hotel kitchen has a narrow service window, tracking helps you avoid idle time and missed call-outs.

We keep the handover process straightforward. The parcel leaves Midrand, the courier scans it into their network, and the delivery run starts once the vehicle reaches your region. If a scan has not moved for longer than expected, contact us and we will check it with the courier team. A short delay can happen during severe rain, road closures or high-volume days, so a quick check is often enough to put minds at ease.

What to do if your part is urgent or site work is waiting

If your oven is down, a fryer will not heat, or a dishwasher is tripping on a switch issue, tell us as soon as you place the order. We can then check whether collection, faster courier handling or local fitting support is the best option. In some cases, it is quicker to confirm compatibility by photo first, so the wrong part does not hold up the job.

  • Send clear photos of the old part, label and equipment model plate.
  • Include the town, suburb and contact number for delivery access.
  • Let us know if the site has security gates, delivery hours or no-parking limits.

For premises with strict access control, like malls, hospitals or municipal kitchens, the courier may need a gate name or receiving office details. The more complete the address, the less chance of a delay at the entrance, and that saves time for everyone.

Delivery support from a parts team that knows the equipment

FoodServ Parts Store is not only about sending a parcel. We also assist with part identification, compatibility checks, fitting support and post-fit testing when needed. That means the delivery process is linked to the actual job, not just the box on the way to site. If you are replacing a thermostat, burner, switch panel component or dishwasher seal, we can help you match the correct item before it is dispatched.

Our Midrand depot supports customers across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Bloemfontein, with national delivery beyond those centres. If something arrives damaged or does not match the confirmed order, tell us straight away so we can look into it and advise the next step. We keep the process practical, because kitchen equipment down-time costs money.

Questions we get asked

How long does delivery take after I place an order?

Most orders paid for before the cut-off are dispatched the same business day or the next business day, then courier times depend on your location. Main centres are usually faster than remote or outlying areas.

Can I get help if I am not sure which part to order?

Yes. Send the part photo, equipment model plate and any old part numbers to parts@foodservparts.co.za. We check compatibility before dispatch so you do not wait for the wrong item.

Do you deliver to hotels, restaurants and industrial kitchens with access control?

Yes, but please include the receiving office, gate details and delivery hours. That helps the courier get in without delays, especially at sites with security checks or loading bay rules.
